Traction converter IGBT (SR)

Tr. Converter -II isolate.

Loco checked at BNDM and found traction converter -2 main contactor checked, found it was partially closed caused traction converter-2 isolate. Firm representative attended the contactor and found that gap between the fix & mobile contact was more (42 mm) same adjusted in between the range (23mm to 27mm) and function checked found ok. Details of converter - Make- BHEL( IGBT) , Comm- 27/12/15, EMC make- Knorr Bremse.

As per LP remark, between DRD-GVD, LSCHBA lamp was glowing & VCB tripped with message “VCB tripped via QSIT”. External fault LED was glowing on SIV panel & QSIT target was dropped. QSIT was reset & DJ was closed but DJ tripped again via QSI

the contactor K8 was faulty, Firm representative replaced it with other healthy contactor. After that loco tested and found working normal. Defective Contactor was handed over to firm representative for further detailed investigation at firm premises. Loco will be kept under observation

CHBA voltage low first appeared on SIV display. Then SIV became completely dead. Make: Hirect, Sl No-2014H/258/56

Firm representative of M/s Hirect attended the SIV at ASN. 25A HRC fuse in the incoming 110V DC supply circuit from battery to SIV found blown out. A new 25A HRC fuse is replaced by firm.

1) Traction converter PEC card defective for life sign missing & BG isolated. Firm ABB advised 2) For SCTM-2 55.1/2 , MCB of 32Amp was found provided instead of 6A QX-3 type. 3) 8.1 contactor of FB panel air pipe line coupler cone found old cracked and came out from 8.1 coupler causing heavy air leakage. 4) TFP-2 p-in pressure sensor & TFP-1 temperature sensor , oil leakage noticed. Same attended 5) Primary vertical clearance of axle box No. 1, 2, 6, 9, 11 & 12 more than permissible limit. 6) Primary lateral clearance of wheel set No. 2 & 4 more than permissible limit.

Both side AFI not working. Loco placed at ELS/MGS.At ELS/MGS found air flow measuring valve was found defective since its diafram damaged. Same measuring valve overhauled and diafram changed. Last diafram changed on dt. 16.12.14 during AOH

Valve rubber kit is being changed during over hauling.

Between KSH-BCH, at neutral section, main power off, VCB inhibited message appeared on screen & Loco was dead. Loco was checked at KONY after coasting & tried to energize again. MCE was made OFF/ON. F0108P2 appeared on DDS. Oil level & spread was checked & OCR was reset. Loco was energized & train work done

Following equipments were checked: • OCR relay was checked on test bench found working normal. Make: AAL, Sr. No. BR14120025, DOC: 01.12.15 • Primary Current transducer was checked, found normal. • Transformer main bushing was checked, No flashing or abnormality was noticed. • VCU-1 ‘L’ slot URB512D15 card was checked on test zig, found working normal. • Transformer Sr. No. 2040946 Type No. WT7500, Make: BHEL, Mfg: 2015 DGA of TFP oil was checked, found normal. At the time of appearance of fault “STB1:0002-Primary current above maximum”, in background data, VCB was off with disturbance & Primary current is shown as 10.74 Amp. Following work was done as a precautionary measure. • OCR (78) relay was changed. • Primary current transducer was changed. • STB1 software was re-downloaded. All concerned equipments & circuit is being checked thoroughly in OCR drop cases
