I’d like to thank my parents for there generous offer of ten thousand dollars. Here is what I did with the money and I hope you like it. I don’t think I’ll be spending all though.
Logitech G302 Marathon Mouse: This is a pretty standard peripheral on a laptop and it’s nothing super high tech but it has been claimed as the best wireless mouse. It’s a wireless mouse costing only $50 but has been claimed to last over 5 years with great consistency and battery life as well as portability. http://thewirecutter.com/reviews/best-wireless-mouse/
Logitech K800 Wireless Illuminated Keyboard: Another essential piece of hardware for a computer. This keyboard is also wireless like most hardware I will be buying to eliminate some hassle and give me some more desk space. It also has illuminated keys to allow for easier use during the night as it will be in college and there may be many all-nighters. As a bonus this keyboard can be linked to the same receiver as the mouse above. http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/logitech-logitech-illuminated-wireless-keyboard-k800-920-002367/10154461.aspx?path=16482eaa46bad97d989634213622433ben02
BenQ 50" Widescreen 1080p LED Monitor: This massive 50 inch screen is going to display everything I’m going to do in college. I chose such a huge screen to try to eliminate some strain on my eyes as well as just loving big clear displays. The monitor doesn’t actually have a stand to again give me more space on my desk for notes or food and such.
Planter Back beat Pro Wireless Bluetooth On-Ear Noise Cancelling Headphones: These head phones are wireless but also noise cancelling. I might have a noisy roommate or neighbors so with these headphones I can easily listen to music or watch a movie without distractions. These can also be portable to connect to my phone as I’m walking around campus.
Insignia Memory Foam Mouse Pad: This is just a small piece of equipment but definitely improves the accuracy of your mouse. This mouse pad also has a little wrist rest made of memory foam which will make extended periods of time more comfortable.
Xerox WorkCentre All-In-One Wireless Colour Laser Printer: This is another wireless peripheral which I think will be extremely useful as many teachers may require you to bring in physical hard copies of homework and this printer will suffice for that.
The Chosen One (Pc): This is a pre-built system from Pro Built Systems which I find fits all my needs. It has a Intel Core i7-4790K Haswell 4.0GHz Quad-Core CPU which runs extremely smooth since it’s so powerful. It also has 1 terabyte of storage with 16 gigabytes of ram to run anything with ease. I also added windows 8.1 pro since I’m a pretty big windows fan and a bluray combo drive allowing me to play multiple different types of media.
Office Home & Student 2013 - Windows: Pretty much your bread and butter software which most of your assignments will be created on. Very useful in general for anything really.
