Digital Cordless Answering System
Handset

4 handsets are supplied with this model.

Just below the top of the handset face is a circular depression. This is the receiver.
The smooth square surface below the receiver is the display. In the center of the handset is the navigator key. The navigator key is circular in shape and is slightly concave. You can use the navigator key to scroll through various lists and items. Press the navigator key up or down to adjust the receiver or speaker volume while talking. You can also press the navigator key left to view phonebook entry, right to view redial list, and down to view caller list.
Just below the display, there are two buttons in a horizontal row. These are the soft keys. By pressing a soft key, you can select the feature shown directly on the display above. Menu icon is displayed above the right soft key to indicate that is serves as the menu select key. The icon displayed above the left soft key changes depending on whether a newly received Voice mail or new messages have been recorded. The phonebook icon is displayed if there are no new messages.
To the left side of the navigator key is the TALK button, it has a raised dot. To the right side of the navigator key is the OFF button, it has a raised bar.
Below the navigator key is the telephone keypad. It is laid out in the conventional telephone keypad arrangement with a raised dot on the “5” button and a star key and a pound key on the left and right of the “0” button. The star key in the lower left corner of the keypad also serves as the TONE button.
Just below the telephone keypad, there are three buttons in a horizontal row. The far left is the SP-PHONE button. The center is the INTERCOM button. The far right, below the pound key is the FLASH button. The FLASH button also serves as the CALL WAIT button.
In the center of the lowest part of the handset face below, there is a small hole. This is the microphone. The two ridges on the bottom surface of the handset are the charge contacts.
On each side of the handset, in line with the top of the display is a small hole. These two holes are used to attach the belt clip. You can hang the handset on your belt or pocket using the supplied belt clip.
On the upper-back side of the handset, there is a round textured area. This is the handset speaker.

Just below the speaker is the battery compartment. The battery compartment’s upper edge is marked by a fingertip sized depression.
Base Unit

The top of the base unit slopes down towards you from back to front.

The handset charging cradle is located on the left of the base unit. The two ridges at the bottom of the cradle are the charge contacts.
The handset is placed in the cradle with the handset buttons facing you. The handset will beep when the handset is properly placed in the cradle for charging. The round shaped area behind the cradle is the base unit speaker. There are five buttons in a vertical row at the far right of the base unit.

In order from top to bottom they are; the Volume up, Volume down, ERASE, SKIP and REPEAT buttons.

In between the cradle and the five buttons in a vertical row on the right of the base unit is a vertical row of three buttons. At the bottom is the PLAY/STOP button. The PLAY/STOP button also serves as the Message indicator. Above the PLAY/STOP button is a button and an indicator in a horizontal row. The ANSWER ON/OFF button is on the left and the ANSWER ON/OFF indicator is on the right. Above the ANSWER ON/OFF button is the LOCATOR button.
Charger

With the charger facing you, the handset’s charging cradle is in the center. The handset stands upright in the cradle with the display facing forward. The two ridges on the bottom of the cradle are the charge contacts.
