  1. GENERAL

1.1 SUMMARY


This specification defines the electrical and mechanical characteristics of the Knurr DI-STRIP PDU system.

Knurr DI-STRIP is designed especially to handle the growing number of electronic components that can be housed within network cabinets and server racks, the space saving product line is available with a range of capabilities to support critical network equipment.

1.2 STANDARDS


The Knurr DI-STRIP is designed in accordance with the applicable sections of the current revision of the following documents. Where a conflict arises between these documents and statements made herein, the statements in this specification will govern.

    1. System Description


The Knurr DI-STRIP, Basic Rack PDU systems, provide a broad range of power distribution capacities and connectivity solutions in a robust package. These products are a part of the Rack PDUs from Emerson Network Power - a family of rack power distribution systems designed to manage power from the UPS all the way to each individual piece of computing and communications hardware.

All Rack PDUs include an input power cord with appropriate input plug connection and branch protection; basic rack mounting provisions are also provided. Knurr DI-Strips Rack PDUs are available in rackmount and vertical zero-U form factors.

1.4 ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS


A. Ambient Temperature

Operating: 32°F ─ 131°F (0°C ─ 55°C) for altitudes 6,500 ft (2000 meters) above sea level.

Storage: 4°F ─ 140°F (-20°C ─ 60°C)

B. Relative Humidity

5 ─ 95% non-condensing, non-corrosive

C. Altitude:

6500 ft (2,000 m max.), without power derating when operated within the temperature specified.

D. Electrostatic Discharge

The units are able to withstand an electrostatic discharge compliant to EN61326-1, EN61000-3-2, EN61000-3-3.

1.6 USER Accessories and Packaging


The specified Knurr DI-STRIP Basic system is supplied with (1) user manual. The manual includes installation drawings and instructions, a functional description of the equipment, safety precautions, illustrations, operating procedures, and general maintenance guidelines.

1.7 WARRANTY


The manufacturer warrants the Knurr DI-STRIP against defects in materials and workmanship for two (2) years. The warranty covers all parts.

1.8 QUALITY ASSURANCE

1.8.1 Manufacturer Qualifications


Emerson Network Power provides more than thirty years experience in the design, manufacture, and testing of solid-state UPS systems and the company is certified to ISO 9001.

1.8.2 Factory Testing


Before shipment, the product is tested to assure compliance with the specification.
