Hydraulic Track Excavator – (these specifications are designed to identify the equipment requested and not to specifically designate a particular machine – or equal equipment is acceptable)
General: It is the intent of these specifications to provide for the purchase, delivery, setup, and operator training of a new and current year model Hydraulic Track Excavator.
Units offered under this advertisement shall be new, standard production, models of the latest design in current production.
Materials shall be of good commercial quality for the intended service and shall be produced by use of current manufacturing processes. Material shall be treated to resist rust, corrosion and wear.
The design of the mechanical members shall be such that the stress imposed through normal shock loads at maximum engine torque shall not cause rupture, permanent deformation, or undue wear on any member.
Bidder must submit with their bid the latest printed specifications and advertising literature on the units they propose to furnish.
Bidder shall supply (1) parts book, (1) operation and maintenance manual and (1) comprehensive service manual, which would describe troubleshooting procedures for repairs.
Bidder shall be prepared to give a complete demonstration of the merits of the machines offered as directed by the purchaser. The machines so demonstrated shall be complete as offered by the bidder for this bid.
The price or prices quoted shall include all transportation charges fully prepaid to 1801 West Airline Highway, LaPlace, LA 70068.
Purchaser desires delivery to be completed within 60 days from date of award.
Awards will be made to the lowest responsible bidder who furnishes a responsive bid. The quality of the articles to be supplied, their conformity with the specifications, their suitability to requirements, delivery, and guarantee clauses shall be taken into consideration.
The purchaser reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informality in bids, to accept in whole or in part such bids as may be deemed in the best interest of the purchaser.
Successful bidder will provide training related to operation and maintenance to parish employees responsible for maintaining and operating the machine.
Warranty provisions minimally must include:
5 year/Unlimited Hours Total Machine Coverage for all components. Bidder shall provide a warranty statement for that coverage.
The bidder shall list on a separate of paper any variations from, or exceptions to, the conditions and specifications of this bid. This sheet shall be labeled “Exception(s) to Bid Conditions and Specifications,” and shall be attached to bid.
The bidder shall mark the “Y” for yes or “N” for no to indicate compliance with the bid specification on the form provided.

fluid level without removing the filler cap.
Y_____ N_____ A cartridge-type hydraulic filter shall be located outside of the hydraulic tank
for easy service and to avoid system contamination.
Y_____ N_____ Machine shall include Scheduled Oil Sampling (SOS) ports to allow for system
oil samples. Sample testing shall be used to protect machines from any major
damage by diagnosing failures before they occur.
Y_____ N_____ Sealed and lubricated track rollers, carrier rollers, and idlers shall be standard.

Y_____ N_____ General Purpose Pin-on Bucket will be supplied. Bucket will be 42”
in width, measured from the outside tooth tip to the outside tooth
tip. Struck capacity shall be no less than 1.52 cu yds (1.16m3). Bucket shall
have no less than 5 replaceable teeth.
Y_____ N_____ Stiff Link Thumb with three teeth shall be supplied. Thumb teeth shall fit
between bucket tooth tips. Thumb will be able to fold against the stick when
not in use.
Y_____ N_____ Ditch Cleaning Pin-on Bucket will be supplied. Bucket will be 72” (1830 mm) in
width – measured from the outside edges of the bolt on cutting edge. Struck
capacity shall be no less than 1.63 cubic yards (1.24m3). Bucket shall have
